I came in and gave my sewing room a once over with the vacumn and boy what a difference. I think every color of thread I own was on the floor. WHAT A BIG DIFFERENCE a little tidying up in the sewing room makes. I had promised myself that I would clean it after finishing every garment, but that never works.
I couldn't find a photographer at work today so I took a picture myself - me in my newest top.
Like Tim Gunn says - make it work!

That top is now on my list! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHubba Bubba! LOL! See you experimenting with the camera. I really like this top. GOOD JOB!!!
ReplyDeleteI also did some vacuuming and cleaning in the sewing room. (It was penance for the fabric shopping I did on Saturday.) You're right; a nice neat sewing room makes a big difference.
ReplyDeleteI so agree. I too just finished cleaning up my sewing room. That alone is an inspiration for sewing . I love the top on you Faye
ReplyDeleteAbout the vacuum. I found out it easier to use a roller like the ones you can use to take the lint from coats. Now in the market there is a bigger size (like a mop size) and I roll it on the carpet after sewing. This way it is easier to vacuum and all those threads won't accumulate on the vacuuming machine.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, how wonderful! You look great! I've tried taking a picture like that, but I can't. I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteMy sewing room gets so messy when I'm in the midst of my sewing sprees. But oh it feels so good to clean it up and start fresh again.
ReplyDeleteYour top is cute and I'm glad you didn't wait for a photographer to share it with us.
There is nothing like a clean sewing room to start a fresh project.(except having someone else to clean it for you)
ReplyDeleteAdorable top and you took a good picture.
Good for you! You've been sewing up a storm. Nice blouse. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking top.
