BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE (MY TAKE ON OUTERWEAR)...

... by now you surely know that I LOVE making outerwear.   Whether it's a cardigan, jacket, wrap, cape, poncho or a coat - I love them all!

Alethia Hudson of Sew Alethia, and administrator of Sew Much Talent GR, sponsors a sewing challenge month of the year.  January's challenge is "New Year's Resolution (Stash Busting) that incorporates a different challenge each week.  This week it's OUTERWEAR - so tonight I did a periscope in support of  the challenge called "Baby It's Cold Outside".  You can watch it here.

Nervous as heck, I talked about:
  • Just what is outerwear?
  • My current outerwear project
  • types of outerwear
  • Fabric selection, and
  • Pattern suggestions
I will continue discussing OUTERWEAR on Periscope on Wednesday and Friday evening of this week, and will be holding a pattern give-a-way after each scope in support of the SMT GR.  Tonight's pattern give-a-way

If you are interested and would like to have this pattern, please leave a comment below...

  1. Faye you did an awesome job on your scope.
It is very nice of you to do these give-a-ways 😀 (I do have this pattern so no need to put my name in the draw :).

    1. Thank you Ann, scoping does not come easy for me, but then again nothing in life has ever come easy. I am so glad that you enjoyed it.

  2. Hi Faye - I tried watching, but I guess too many people were on at the same time, as it froze on me several times. From what I did see, it looked really interesting so I will definitely try again later.

Would love to be in the running for the pattern.

    Thanks,
    Summer

    1. My niece was born on June 21st and I tried so hard to get my sister to name her SUMMER - she didn't, but I still think it a beautiful name! So sorry about the freezing it was a problem for most of the scope. I will be on again on Wednesday with part 2. Thank you for entering my drawing.

  3. Faye you did an awesome job on the scope last night! If you were nervous, I don't believe anybody noticed (at least I didn't, LOL!). I'm so happy to see you getting more comfortable with scoping! Looking forward to your scopes Wednesday and Friday. I have this pattern already so no need to include me in this giveaway.
