    1. For many years I didn't have a dedicated sewing room either. Thank God I was able to make it work where ever it was at the time. I sewed in my kitchen for 4 months when I was having the sewing room renovated. Shouldn't have taken that long, and I was miserable the whole time!

    1. Yep, there were quite a few buried treasures found on mine too. Cutting tables are such a clutter magnet.

  4. I wish I had a cutting table like that! Where did you get it? I wish I had a sewing room too but have to manage with the living room table.

    1. This one was a gift from Brenda at Brenda's Sewing Nook. She brought it from Alabama to Georgia. She insisted that I needed it, and I could not REFUSE. I know they do sell this one and other models at Hancock Fabrics and I think at JoAnn's Fabrics.

    1. Ahhhh! I'm sorry! Before I had this table I was working with one that I picked up at Lowes. It was only 4ft long, but it had adjustable legs that I could extend up so the table was at waist height. It worked for a long time, and wasn't that bad at all until I received this gifted one. You might check Lowes.

  7. Love your cutting table... I just spent last Friday and Saturday redoing my sewing room. I moved all of my "stuff" into my larger bedroom and I took the smaller room for my bedroom. I don't know why I did not do this before now. I am loving the extra space and am determined not to bring any additional stuff into my sewing room. I have enough room to put my cutting table in the center....(Yay) My cutting table needs to be a little wider but it will do for right now...Now I can get back to sewing.

    1. I'll just bet it feels real good to be able to breath/sew in a larger space. Enjoy Necie! I'm looking to seeing your Fall sewing plans unfold!

  8. Must be great minds thinking alike, my friend. The cutting table here also saw the light of day, so to speak, last night. For a short while anyway. Doesn't it just freshen up the urge to sew, though?

  15. My table looks clear once in a while but don't look around at the rest of the room, it can get pretty scary!

  17. He he... I imagined David Attenborough doing a dubbed voiceover (like on his nature TV programmes about rare wildlife http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/collections/p0048522) saying something like "Here we are in the sewing room to witness a rare and precious sight... a cutting table - in it's natural habitat, totally devoid of the customary items, piles of unknown items, UFOs that are commonly found in sewing rooms across the globe."

  19. It feels nice walking into your sewingroom when it's clean like that doesn't it? But it never lasts, thank goodness. Looking forward to seeing your next project!

  20. LOL. Too funny! I have to admit that my sewing table stays pretty clean and orderly during a project. The floor on the other hand...
