INQUIRING MINES WOULD LIKE TO KNOW...

...many of us subscribe or purchase Vogue Pattern magazine.

On the cover of each and every issue is a "Free Pattern Offer".  I've never taken advantage of the offer.  Do you???

    1. Great magazine. Used to be just pattern pictures and now its full of technique and articles on sewists around the country.

  2. When I used to subscribe to McCall's when they had free patterns, yes I did get them. I have not purchased a Vogue magazine or subscribed to them ever. I guess if I did, I probably would. If you have the magazine, and it offers a free pattern, why would you not? Just curious, LOL!

  3. Never have....with the postage, the J's sales were generally better.

  4. Years ago (like 20) I religiously used that offer but it was before The fabric stores started to heavily discount patterns and Club BMV & Vogue Patterns were Internet based. I've seen the offer but no longer use it because buying them online during the sale is cheaper than using that offer IMHO.

  5. Like Carolyn I used the offer years ago but now buy thru Club BMV. It is an excellent magazine. I even have a few saved magazines from 30 years ago which are such fun!

  6. I think that your local fabric store has a better deal. Vogue Pattern has you pay for your first pattern (between $15 & $30) then your second and third pattern are free + $4.00 shipping. I know you can find them cheaper elsewhere.

  7. I don't subscribe, but if I'm in a store (which is often), I will flip through and if I see something that peaks my interest I will buy. What about you Ms. Faye?

  8. I haven't read this one, but I never bothered with getting the free patterns from sewing magazines. I have quite a lot of patterns in my stash, and they tend to be the ones I chose due to the style/sizing etc, so don't usually feel the need for more, even when they are free... But that's just me.

  9. I don't subscribe. I have in the past but I haven't found it worth the money.

  10. Like Carolyn, I subscribed to Vogue Patterns and used the buy-two-get-one offer before the stores started selling them at deep discounts. But now there are more frugal options available. ;-)

  11. Like some of the other comments, I used to subscribe many years ago and used that offer several times. But when the fabric stores started having pattern sales or the BMV option came about, it's more economical.
