DONE...

...Butterick 5616 cropped jean jacket that is.  Took a bit longer than I anticipated but then again so does everything I make.  It's just as I envisioned and I am happy with it.

This is one thing that I can mark off the list. Later I'd really like to have one in black after I find black denim online because there's none in my area.  Nothing pressing though so I have plenty of time to do a little search.

MY MOTHER:  Did you finish your jacket?

ME:  After fixing a couple of operator errors, yes I did!  And I didn't even cry and whine when making this jacket - did I?

MY MOTHER:  No you didn't and I am so surprised!

ME:  Yeah, I'm really trying to work on that...

Now to decide on my next project - something new coming up soon...

    1. Thank you Ruthie! Yes I like the fit. I went with size 16 through the neckline, shoulders and chest area according to the pattern's sizing for my bust measurement; but tapered out to a 18 in the side seams. I did end up taking the side seams in so I really could have gone with a straight size 16.

  8. It looks SO GOOD Faye! Is it stretch white denim or no-stretch? I want to make the Jacket Express jacket from Janet Pray's Craftsy class, but she says to use non-stretch denim and I cannot find non-stretch denim in red that is the right weight and doesn't look like it came from a kindergarten class!
