SEWING TIP OF THE DAY
(Maybe you've heard this, but just in case you haven't)
CURE FOR RUNAWAY FOOT PEDALS
Use shelf or drawer liners to create a no-slip surface for your sewing
machine’s pedal. Cut in a square shape, slightly larger than the machine foot pedal, and this textured foam will help keep the
pedal in place as you stitch.
Hi, thanks for your sewing tip inspiration. Thought you might like to know that in Canada, the Lieutenant-Governor of the province of Ontario sews too: http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/lt-gov-elizabeth-dowdeswell-has-a-secret-hobby-1.3555203
ReplyDeleteWith appreciation for your inspiring and empowering sewing/posts, Lynda from Toronto (Ontario, Canada)
ps: Thanks for sharing the no slip foot pedal tip - it is a good tip I intend to implement.
How absolutely interesting! Thank you so much for including this information about Lt. Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell's secret hobby. This has actually ignited my sewing motivation since it's been on a bit of a vacation lately. I think that I will be sharing her inspiring secret on my blog here real soon!
DeleteYour style is wonderful. Great tip and good inspiration. I have sewn for my grandchildren for years. Lots of pj's , costumes, jumpers and quilts. This year I decided to begin sewing for myself. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSewing for myself has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life Ellen. I know you will enjoy it too!
DeleteI need one of those! I'm always catching the pedal under the table...
ReplyDeleteI know Barbara I hate it when it gets away from me. I have a design in mind for this problem, just need to find someone to make it for me.
