HAVE YOU TRIED THREAD HEAVEN???

...I saw someone post about Thread Heaven just a while ago.  Can't remember who it was.  I thought it was Bunny at LaSewista, but I can't find the post.  Anyway, after reading about it I picked up a block at JoAnn's notion sale several weeks ago.

It leaves my thread AMAZINGLY light feeling.  So much unlike bee's wax that causes my thread to feel sort of stiff, but I still get the anti-tangling effect even better.  Glad I picked some up, it made the hand sewing on my last project a bit easier...

  1. I prefer thread heaven over beeswax too but I've found that when I take the extra step of ironing the thread that's covered with beeswax that it works as well as the thread heaven. But running it through thread heaven is sooooo much quicker! :)

  3. Oh! I posted about Thread Heaven about 2 years ago because I love the stuff but I wasn't sure if it was my dirty little sewing secret or something that others used also. So, I'm glad to see you and Carolyn giving it the thumbs up! Here's my post about it: fivemuses.blogspot.com/2011/09/sleeves-taking-show-on-road.html

  5. Oh yes I have tried thread heaven and love it. I ordered my from homesew.com. It makes hand sewing much easier. Much less tangling and the thread goes through the fabric much easier.

  6. I haven't seen or heard about Thread Heaven. I've only got bees wax and use it all the time for my hand sewing. Mmmm might just have to see if I can get me some :)

  7. I don't recall writing about Thread Heaven so maybe it was Clio's post. Generally I iron the beeswax. Next Joann's Notion Wall Sale....

  8. I think I need to look around for this. What is exactly and how does it look? I know back home I could just go out and find it but here that is going to be another story. I need to know what I'm looking for.
