NATIONAL SEWING MONTH - DAY 12...

...
 SEWING INFO OF THE DAY
(Maybe you've heard this, but just in case you haven't)

It would have been so nice of me if I had mentioned Craftsy.com's Free For All on Labor Day for the benefit of those who did not know about it.  Truth be told, I only thought about doing that just today.  Please forgive me!  Hopefully they will have that offer again sometime in the very near future.

But in the meantime, it started me thinking about ALL of the Craftsy classes I have:
One Pattern Many Looks:  Pants - Kathy Ruddy
Patternmaking + Design:  Pants - Suzy Furrer
Patternmaking Basics:  The Bodice Sloper - Suzy Furrer (mmmm, forgot I bought that one)
Create any Size:  Pattern Grading for Sewers - Kathleen Cheetham
Essential Guide to Tailoring - Alison Smith
Jacket Fitting Techniques - Pam Howard
40 Techniques Every Sewer Should Know - Gail Yellen
I've even picked up a few free classes along the way:
Machine Savy: Tips for Creative Sewing - Linda McGhee
Sew Real:  Machine Basics - Amy Alan
Sewing Machine Feet A to Z - Steffani Lincecum
Mastering Zippers - Suni Standing
Know Your Wool - Deborah Robson
Complete Knife Skills - Brendan McDermott (for the Sewing Gourmet that I am)

So I was wondering if you'd share your Craftsy list???

  1. Never tried Craftsy, but I've been sewing a couple of little dresses for baby Nora. All that tiny work will really wear out these middle aged eyeballs!

    1. I'll bet Nora's dresses are darling Marjie. Please show them when finished.

  2. Well, I have all classes from Suzy Furrer, all classes from Alison Smith, all classes from Beverly Jonhson, most classes from Angela Wolf, both classes from Susan Khalje, jacket fitting techniques and the classic tailored shirt by Pam Howard, the perfect jeans by Jennifer Stern-Hasemann, most classes from Janet Pray, most classes from Kathleen Cheetham and lately I've been collecting classes from Sara Alm. I always learn something new from any of these classes.

    1. What a wonderful list if classes you have Tany. I'm thinking about getting one of the classes by Sara Almost too.

  3. I read somewhere that the change to Craftsy is coming because of new leadership at the helm. They are offering all classes at reduced prices because they will soon go to a site offering classes for a specific monthly rate. Now's the time to pick up the pricey classes for the lowest prices and brace ourselves for the change.

PS: Faye...Are you watching Project Runway? I miss your annual commentary!

    1. Thank you so much for the info about Craftsy's structural change. I need to pick up some of the ones on my wishlist before that time.
Yes I am watching Project Runway this season. I do have some back seat critique on the first 3 episodes but of course it's only opinions. Thursday night and the 90 minute plus time frame really takes a toll on me. I'm so sleepy at the end that I can barely remember who won and who got sent home (lol).
