Next comes cleaning the floor (I just didn't have energy to do it this evening), caulking (then giving it a day to dry), re-painting the moulding, and then the actual staining can begin. I'm blessed that the flooring, although not perfect, is in pretty good condition. It saves having to go through a sanding process.

The Living Room all piled up so I can at least get out of the door. |
It definitely will be worth all this shamozzle!!!
ReplyDeleteLucky you that you won't have to sand. Looks like your floors will be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe floor is beautiful. I envy you. I hate the carpeted floor in my sewing room!
ReplyDeleteI think it will all be worth it when it's done!
ReplyDeleteIf we weren't homies, I'd be jealous! I know you'll enjoy your "practically carefree" floor when the work is finished.
ReplyDeleteWhy on earth would you want to get out the door? You have so much you can do right inside! Actually, you can sneak out the back when your sewing stuff isn't looking, and then it won't know you've gone to do something else.
ReplyDeleteIt will be so worth it, I have tile in my sewing room and is really saves on that dreaded pin in the foot!
ReplyDeleteWHEW, I know at was a lot of work! But it definitely will be worth it! Feels like I was right there with you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous lamp that is!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool, Faye. I abhor the carpet in my sewing room. I get stuck by those darn pins and so does my cat. The flooring looks beautiful! Keep us posted when done.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly will be worth it! I hope to someday have a space with wood floors. Enjoy the new space!!!
