...I know it isn't Saturday, (usual day for cutting table status pictures) but I thought I'd better take control and stop clutter in it's tracks NOW. IT'S A SHAME, but posting these status pictures help keep me out of the dark hole of sewing room clutter. Hey; what ever it takes...

What's going on in your Sewing Life???
Looking good Faye - the Top and the decluttered table.
ReplyDeleteOne just has to declutter every now and then to become more productive. Nice top for your supervisor's birthday.
ReplyDeleteYou made a beautiful and friendship-honoring use of that great fabric, Faye. I knew you could and would.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anonymous!
DeleteHello Miss Faye, there's nothing like walking into an uncluttered sewing room to get you motivated! You are such a sweetie to make a cute top for your manager! I am sure she appreciates it, especially by the pretty smile she's wearing! I also wanted to let you know, that I've had that jacket pattern in my stash for quite a while now. You're not alone in being afraid of those cuffs, I am too LOL! That's why I've not made the jacket yet. I'll be watching to see how yours turns out,
ReplyDeleteThank you Myra! Yes, I don't mind sewing for her at all because she really is so appreciative that I take the time to do it occasionally. And yes, about this jacket pattern - as much as I do LOVE it - it would have sat in my stash for eons had it not been for this sewalong coaxing me to pull it out. Fingers crossed for me!
DeleteFunny, I cleared my sewing room yesterday when I realised that I couldn't get to get the bread maker in the cupboard for the fabric, machines and patterns on the floor. My room is teeny tiny and has the iMac in there too. Now I'm ready for a weekend of some sewing!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that you are are geared up to start working on your wardrobe patterns Summer. And no matter how teeny tiny your sewing room is - PRAISE GOD FOR IT! - because you do have one and IT'S ALL YOURS! We just have to be careful not to cram-pack these rooms with patterns and fabric (which that is so hard for me not to do).
DeleteLove that top... and doesn't the clean table ..make you want to sew and mess it up again? Ha.
