FOR THE LOVE OF SEWING...

  1. Faciings! Definitely facings for me. And interfacing those facings!

    1. Michele I sometimes have problems with facings too! Especially armhole facings for sleeveless tops, dresses, etc. When there is a front and back armhole facing that is inserted after the side seams are sewn I often have problems making it fit properly.

  2. Cutting out a pattern is my least favorite, I wish they all came pre-cut in the envelope!

    1. Laying the pattern out and cutting can be a tedious process Bonnie. Especially when trying to match plaids and stripes. I had developed a habit of going ahead and cutting 3 garments at once and then sewing them up. It's been a while since I've done that thought. I need to get back to doing that.

  3. Cutting is definitely my least favourite part. I just want to start putting the thing together to see how it's all going to work out.

  5. For me is to undo my previous work. I also hate doing alterations to any finished piece (even purchased ones). It's like disrupting the natural way of things,...

    1. I agree Tany, undoing is for the birds. Love the way you explained doing alterations.

  6. I dislike sewing any long type of tube, especially narrow ones, and then turning inside out.
I actually enjoy cutting out the pattern. Or I guess I should say I don't really mind it.
