...truth be told
my cutting table is in a straight up mess! There certainly hasn't been any production coming out of this sewing room. Been too busy with end of school year close-out, traveling to my grandson's graduation, finishing up this loooong 4-day workweek, and sewing project indecisiveness to produce anything.
I am perched up in here this morning however. Enjoying my non-traditional breakfast (perhaps a southern thing). Left over of Parmesan grilled Salmon, pasta w/Broccoli, and a big old glass of Iced Tea w/ lemon (tea Arnold Palmer style).
So the main goals for today are:
1) clean up my cutting table mess ( I do commend myself; however, in that I've kept it clear for quite some time); and
2) muslin a project I've been pondering for a while.
Hope you have a great sewing related day...

lets don't talk about a mess lol! my cutting table is full & I mean end to end of patterns that have to go back into their rightful envelopes after the sewing madness for Pattern Reviews wardrobe challenge lol! it's always fun to make the mess but then we gotta clean it up lol!

I think putting pattern pieces back into the envelopes is the part of sewing that I like the least.
DeleteMy sewing room sometimes ends up looking like a hurricane hit it when I am working on a project. It is frustrating because I lose things I need to use like scissors, needles, etc. So I now straighten things out a bit when I reach a stopping point - it's been helping!
ReplyDeleteI do understand Tomasa! It's so hard NOT to make a mess!
DeleteI spent all last night cleaning my room so I could get a bead on it today. Then this morning life interrupted with necessary errands and a visit from a good friend. But that's OK. After she left I finished doing the fit alterations on my latest project and hopefully will cut it out after supper. I am praying for rain tomorrow. You know how that works!
ReplyDeleteSure sounds like you had an interesting day. Rain tomorrow would make for a great sewing day.
DeleteThat's a rather nice breakfast....so you are off to a good start!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good start Diane, and I even started to work on a jacket project.
Deleteoh Tomasa made me think of a tip my friend came up with for sissors, she got tired of losing her sissors so she tied a pair to the cord of every machine !

Great idea Helen!
DeleteI finally swept the floor in my shecave... I had thread scraps all over. My hands were forced to sweep when I noticed thread scraps making their way throughout the house.. lol. Nothing like dinner for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteSheila I'll have to take a picture of this sewing room floor to share. I can hardly believe how much thread is on it. Well at least it means we are being productive - right?!!!
DeleteOh Ms. Faye...you're definitely not alone with left overs for breakfast...I do it all the time too! (That is if there's anything left over, LOL!!) I wonder sometimes if there is a specific reason we in the sewing community could figure out as to why we have such issues with project decisions at times. It's truly frustrating!
