TEES, TUNICS, BUTTON DOWNS...

RUFFLES, FLOUNCES, BOATNECK, OR COWL.....
I think that blouses (or tops) are the most versatile garments in my closet. I always feel that I can dress well (and quickly) if I have enough tops to mix and match with existing pieces.

That said, I need some new spring/summer tops, and thought other bloggers might be interested in joining me in a SPRING MONTH OF TOPS.

It's a simple sew-a-long challenge:

•Choose your fabrics

•Choose your patterns (or self draft), or add a new twist to a TNT pattern, or refashion an existing blouse or top

•No quotas

•No limits

•and by April 30th we will have a number of added wardrobe options.

To join in just comment and PLEASE LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS on this post no later than Sunday, April 4th. This new blog has been set up for THE SPRING MONTH OF TOPS. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of spring/summer inspiration....

I am smiling by behind off... I was just sifting through some patterns and thinking I need to make some tops. But this year I wanted button down tops. So I'm in.

I'm in too! Thanks so much Faye! Hopefully I'll be able to get in more tops than this past fall.

Oooh Fay! I like the blouses you've shown for inspiration. If I can get my dinner/dance dress done (and I will be making a muslin!), I'll make a top too.

Count me in for my first sew-a-long. Don't know how many I'll get to but I really want a wardwrobe refresher.

Love to join, don't know how many tops I'll make, and won't be exclusively making tops either, but my closet can use a few new tops too.

I saw a top like that first one with the ruffle at a store yesterday for $50. I have got to start sewing for myself!!!

Count me in. I've been enjoying making dresses, but have 5 or 6 patterns for tops on my dining room table, since I'm in desperate need! Plus, I had so much fun with the Month or Two of Pants Sew Along.

Count me in. I'm going through my pattern/fabric stash tonight. I'm hoping to whip up at least 5. Gotta save time for a couple of pants and cute dresses.

Faye, I forgot to mention. I only fill the solution container with acv when my carpet is highly soiled, otherwise I just put one cup of acv into the water and no solution. The acv is all you need. :0)

Last month I swore I had enough tops and needed to make more bottoms, but as soon as the weather warmed up, I wanted some new tops. I'm in. karen6790@msn.com

I'll join in too. It seems that the Fall sew-along was the only one where anything was accomplished once I committed to participating. LOL j.hamb@sbcglobal.net

OH NO! I would love to join, but I will be traveling for work for so much of the month that I just don't think it is going to happen for me. Sigh. Next time!

By the way, what pattern is the third top? I really like the line drawing but don't recognize the pattern.
