#BLOGLIKECRAZY DAY 15 (100th post of the year): SISTER LOVE...

... do you know what this is???
Well I didn't! I received it in a little package after arriving home on Friday, it was addressed from my Mom.  A surprise!, and you know that I couldn't wait to open it.  It was accompanied by a note that read:

"Linda, we found this at a country antique store and thought about you.  Brenda wanted you to have this.  It was made by a man in Elmira.  It's a large size for troubled hands.
Happy Sewing,
Brenda"

I thought "ahhhh", maybe it's something I can use to exercise my hands.  So I twirled it around a bit then decided to pull on one of the spindles at the end and, voila,

It's a double sided seam ripper!  Who knew?, not I!
We can all use an extra sharp new seam ripper, but more importantly than that it is always really nice to be thought of by your Mom and little Sister...

  9. I saw the man that made these here in Houston at the Quilt Festival. My husband bought a "shotgun" shell casing pen from him. He had some really awesome designs.
