Sheryll of Patterns.Scissors.Cloth gives us 5 WONDERFUL sewing tips every month
5 Sewing Tips for May even though it's now June
Andrea of Sew To Fit's You Tube video gives a full demonstration on Raising the V-Neckline of the New Vogue pattern 9293
Itch to Stitch, shares a great tutorial that will help us with our summer thin strip shoulder design tops and dress How to make a bra strap holder.
AND, as if I didn't already have enough on my mental "Sewing List for Summer", I've joined not one but two more challenges.
Great tips Faye!! I'm saving this post as a favorite so I have easy access too! Also, I was not aware of the second challenge (summer sewing challenge). I have to hop over and join that one too! Thanks for sharing Ms. Faye!
ReplyDeleteI read so many blogs and see so much valuable information Myra so I thought I'd just start listing it here so I can keep better track of it.
DeleteJust trying to get some sewing in and completed is on my plate this week. Working on the Marilyn Dress by Style Arc.
ReplyDeleteYou've always got something going on over at your blog. Can't wait to see the Marilyn dress.
DeleteThanks for the link to Andrea's YouTube video! It confirmed what I thought needed to be done to raise the neckline.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Carolyn!
DeleteThis is awesome! Thank you for including such great resources.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like them Vanessa!
DeleteThese are great links. Thanks for putting them together Faye! I hadn't heard about Pattern Scissors Cloth before--she went straight into my feed--she's got some great tips there, and the bra strap holder is super helpful for summer. I feel like I'm mostly writing this week. I have a guest post for Dutch Label Shop that's going up next week, and I'm doing the blog tour for Designer Stitch's 1st birthday on Thursday. Perhaps I'll clean the sewing room! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the busy sewist Elizabeth. Love seeing all your makes!
DeleteThank you Faye for these links - I actually do already subscribe to all the ones you mention. You might also enjoy Johanna's blog and videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp30ujapMqA. She too always has some great tips. Her latest is how to trace Burda magazine patterns :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes I do watch Johanna's videos every Sunday and look forward to them. I read her blog too.
DeleteThis is a great idea, Faye. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure! Hope you see something that you find interesting.
DeleteHubby bought me a bunch of new dresses, but since dress makers make everything for someone 6" taller than me, there's a lot of hemming to do. And....I have my 15 month old granddaughter for the week, while my daughter in law is having their second child! So there's plenty of fun in my house, even if I don't have time to sew fun summer dresses (or hem them, as the case may be). I'll come back and check out your links next week, when I'm bored! Hope you're having a great week, Faye.
ReplyDeleteOh a bunch of dresses, that sounds nice. Kiss the baby for me!
DeleteThank you for sharing these great links Ms. Faye. For me I am going to complete about 6 projects I have got started, and put aside to start another sewing project like I need another hole in my head. Am I the only one that starts one project, and gets interested in sewing something else?
ReplyDeleteSix projects!, that is wonderful Diane. Can't wait to see them.
DeleteThanx Faye, these are really great links! I'm watching Andrea's video now!! Saving to my pocket!!
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL!
