FIRST WHITE TOP...

...it does feel good to have finished this top. I felt kinda a bad when I semi-kicked it to the curb.  I finished it today to avoid having an UFO floating around the sewing room.  There is nothing too special about this top, except maybe the information I found that helped me grade this pattern up two sizes (which can be found here).  I changed my mind and used broadcloth to make this top rather stretch poplin.

Now it's on to the next OTT project - it will probably be a knit top.  There are EIGHT more days left of the challenge.  I'd like to make two or three more items by the 15th.  We'll see how that goes...

  3. Great tops, Faye. You are on a roll there. Looking good. I can't seem to get into the sew alongs I joined. Lost my camera, cord and all just found on yesterday (buried under tons of fabric) shameful, I know but what a relief.

I'm sure this will become a wardrobe staple. Think of all the jackets and cardigans you'll be able to wear it under!

Doesn't it feel awesome to get a UFO out of the sewing room?

  7. You'll be able to make a few more tops by the end of your challenge for sure.

I really like your first one. A nice white top that can be the base of any outfit.

  8. I'm very proud that you finally got your white top done. It will be great for the hot school days that we know are coming.

So, after the "Top 15" are we going on to a "Bottom 15"? Because I'm already thinking about skirts to go with my nice new tops - and the weather dude is promising me temperatures above 50 by next week *praying it's true*!

  9. That's a great little shirt, but what's the pattern? I would pop that on with a pair of jeans and a strappy sandal and feel quite3 chic!
