I know everyone has already made this top from McCalls, now here's my version.I've prewashed all of my knit fabrics (about 10 pieces) and now they are ready to go. I'm taking my SM on Thanksgiving Vacation to my dd's house in North Carolina. I'll be making boxer shorts for the boys while I'm there.

ReplyDeleteI love the boxer shorts idea; I could make them for my husband and two boys. Thanks for the great idea! If I have time I plan to do that... Also I like the idea of taking your sewing machine on vacation. I have never considered that, but why not?

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments - which I call encouragement! Me and the grand boys had a ball making the boxer shorts. The boys are 7,10 and 13 and it makes feel so good that they actually wear them. I actually got a pair each made up while there and they wore them on Friday! I have two pair each cut out that I didn't get a chance to sew up, but will soon and then mail them off - I promised. I got a pair of PJ bottoms made up for my only grand girl, turns out the fabric was less than desirable so I actually owe her a new pair of PJ's.
