IT'S GONNA BE A GREAT WEEK!

I came in and gave my sewing room a once over with the vacumn and boy what a difference. I think every color of thread I own was on the floor. WHAT A BIG DIFFERENCE a little tidying up in the sewing room makes. I had promised myself that I would clean it after finishing every garment, but that never works.

I couldn't find a photographer at work today so I took a picture myself - me in my newest top.

Like Tim Gunn says - make it work!

  3. I also did some vacuuming and cleaning in the sewing room. (It was penance for the fabric shopping I did on Saturday.) You're right; a nice neat sewing room makes a big difference.

  5. About the vacuum. I found out it easier to use a roller like the ones you can use to take the lint from coats. Now in the market there is a bigger size (like a mop size) and I roll it on the carpet after sewing. This way it is easier to vacuum and all those threads won't accumulate on the vacuuming machine.

  7. My sewing room gets so messy when I'm in the midst of my sewing sprees. But oh it feels so good to clean it up and start fresh again.

Your top is cute and I'm glad you didn't wait for a photographer to share it with us.
