FALL WORK WEAR...

...with temperature down to 38 degrees this morning, I thought it would a good day to finally wear my houndstooth/leather combo skirt.    I made the skirt way back in September.

Vogue 8730

The skirt wore well and I like it a lot.

As a side note I'll leave with some pictures of my students practicing moulage/fx special effects makeup on Halloween last Friday.

Sort of gorey, but they had great fun...

  3. Hey girl! You're looking mighty smart in your foxy outfit. I love your skirt and the boots are really kicking off the look. The scary makeup is looking a little too real though...ha ha.

  13. Lovely skirt - mixing the fabrics adds a great twist. And I love black and white mixed with red - very classy!

  14. Ah, houndstooth! I'm always a sucker for it. If I don't check myself I'd have oodles of it. It seems to call my name in the fabric stores. I have a skirt that I made when I was first sewing that I was still wearing last fall! You look gorgeous & I LOVE your boots too. Another weakness. I think we have the same taste. :)

  16. How lovely..may need to copy this! I bet your students had a blast making over their Debby dolls, my daughter was jealous. At her school they only decorated pumpkins. She only has 12 more weeks and takes her written test this coming Tuesday.

    1. Feel free to copy away - after all I copied Goodbye Valentino's skirt. Tell your daughter that I'm cheering for her.

  18. Your skirt looks great, and I like it with your red sweater. One of your students is a good photographer! And I'm sure they are learning plenty if they are having fun. Too gory for me, but kids will be kids, after all!
