BLOG ANALYTICS??? and SHOUTOUTS...

...I don't know much at all about blog analytics.  Page views per day, returning visitors, and what pray tell are UNIQUE VISITORS?

But  I have been able to decipher a little bit of understanding about Traffic Sources and Referring URL's.  These are places/blogs/websites that direct the greatest number of viewers/lookers to your address on the World Wide Web.  In the case of FayesSewingAdventure.blogspot.com, my top Referring URL's are Diary of a Sewing Fanatic and Stitches & Seams.

Like many others my blog was started as a means of journaling my sewing adventures, but what fun would that be without readership AND interaction.  As a bonus, this interaction has created a valuable learning environment for me.  Truthfully, I would not have gotten to my current skill level without:  my Mother's prayers (yes, I struggled when I reentered the sewing arena) and; help from more advanced sewing bloggers like the two mentioned above.

What blogs are your top referring URL's???

  1. Faye - I think Debbie's blog is one of the top referrals for a lot of us. She has an amazing blog roll that a lot of sewists follow! Thanks for the kind words!

  4. Hand's down, Carolyn's Diary of a Sewing Fanatic. Her's was the first sewing blog I stumbled on and I use her blog roll to catch up on what others are doing plus a few bookmarks of my own.

  9. Thanks for the shout-out Faye. I think it's my 3-mile long blog roll. It sometimes makes me a little sad at the bottom when I see all those great bloggers who've gone dormant.

Also, got your email and I'm working on it. :-)
