WEEK 2 PRIZE WINNER AND WEEK 3 GIVE-A-WAY ANNOUNCEMENT...

...if there's one thing I haven't been able to find a remedy for - it's buying duplicate patterns.  I have a small box of duplicates on hand now, so I decided to pick one each of the big four as my WEEK 2 GIVE-A-WAY PRIZE. I went with tops & blouse patterns because they are my favorites.  My thanks to everyone who entered the contest.

This week's winner is:  ELLE of It's a Sewing Life.  Elle please email me your address and I'll get your patterns off to you first thing next week.

Cooper's great. I first got my sewing machine from them because they were the only ones in the whole wide world to not just cut and paste from the horrible Janome website, but to add useful info. Love it. Then when my serger bit the dust they had another one to me in less than a week (including my dithering, and crossing borders). They totally rock.

  11. Hmmmm.....that's interesting. That is something that I NEVER do is purchase duplicate patterns. If I even think I have it, I won't make the purchase....even if it is only $.99 - lol. Perhaps you could create a spreadsheet? I may eventually have to do that but for now I use the "My Pattern Stash" page on PatternReview.com. to catalogue my patterns. I'ts REAL easy AND convenient. HAPPY 4th BLOGVERSARY!!!

  12. I have duplicate patterns too. Fortunately, some are in different sizes for the kiddies.
The threads are gorgeous. I always need thread, what sewist doesn't. I mean, I have a lot, but it never fails that I don't have just the right shade or color that I need.

  17. I, too am guilty of purchasing duplicate copies of patterns, even though I keep a small notebook on hand at all times. The key is to cross out the patterns I've purchased, AT the time I've purchased them. But, I've gotten better with keeping track on them and the duplicates sometimes find a nice home to go to or are "frankened". Please toss my name in for this drawing. very generous of you.
