ME: I'm having the hardest time getting back into my sewing mood. I just can't make up my mind what to make.
MY MOTHER: Why don't you just make a top.

That was a wonderful suggestion, thanks Mom! So enter Vogue 9204. A pattern I fell in love with at first sight when it was first released. |
This pattern coupled with a gorgeously drappy fabric (I actually don't know the fabric type, or fiber content) that was gifted to me by my sew friend
Brenda, Ms._bystyle from Alabama. I just know that it's pretty, and fit my need for a pop of much needed color for my new Fall wardrobe.

DeleteWhat a wonderful top! I've been eyeing that pattern...
ReplyDeleteIt's an easy pattern Irene. I'm looking for more drappy fabric to make a second one.
DeleteBeautiful, just what you need to refuel the sewing tank.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!

DeleteGreat top and I love that color! If that doesn't get that sewing mojo pumped up I don't know what will!
ReplyDeleteLove-love-love tunics and a red one on top of that! Very beautiful Faye!
ReplyDeleteThat color is beautiful! A nice draped top is exactly the thing for fall, and your mother was right: a pretty top is easy to make and get you started sewing again.
ReplyDeleteThank you Marjie!
DeleteVery pretty blouse, and red also satisfies the need for a little color. It good to be back to sewing, right? Believe it or not, I'm struggling too. So today I decided to stop by a few of my favorite sewing blogs to help motivate me. Nice jump start, Ms. Faye.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cennetta, and it was so nice seeing you scope the other day too.
DeleteThis is so beautiful, Faye. I've been in the same boat - zero sewing mojo. I just finished making a top a day ago and it has really brought my mojo back. I love your pattern and the fabric goes so well with it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
