Work Wear Wednesday...
... needed to wear pink today in support of our Health Care Sciences Department's Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. I also needed a light topper to cover my arms for the 65 degree temperature early this morning. 65 is chilly here in Georgia folks. There's not much pink to be found in my closet, but I remembered the knit jacket that I'd made back in July for days like this. Simplicity A1738 oop I'm sure to the rescue.

This is a very pretty jacket, Faye. I like the princess seams on the back and the stylish lapels on the front. Isn't it great to get such a nice jacket from a 97 cent pattern! Happy sewing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Regina, yes, I love this pattern.
DeleteNice jacket Ms. Faye!! Glad you were able to get one wear out of it before the winter sets in! Don't you just love shopping in your own closet??!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Myra! Yes shopping my closet is wonderful.
DeleteI have this pattern but haven't made anything out of it yet. I love how yours turned out. You look great!
ReplyDeleteIt's a real easy pattern and I'm sure you'll like it.

ReplyDeleteThis is so cute Faye! I love this shade of pink. I may just have to dig out my pattern and make this one again, lol!
ReplyDeleteI remember your red jacket Candice. This pattern is an easy make too.
DeleteGorgeous looking jacket, Faye! Pink is a powerful color, and you look great in it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tany!
DeleteI really appreciate that most of your clothes can be worm to work. Fancy dresses are pretty, but how often do they get taken out of the closet. You make pretty clothes that are wearable. And that jacket is really pretty. That pink is a great color on you, too.
ReplyDeletePatricia, that is exactly what I was thinking about earlier today about fancy dresses. Classic, comfortable clothing fit's my lifestyle perfectly and that is what I need to sew.
Deletelove your pink jacket.. so cute.. and looks good on you.
ReplyDeleteYou look terrific in that shade of pink, and your jacket is really cute!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely version of this jacket. I bought this pattern after I saw an earlier version of yours. Have it pulled and trying to find the exact fabric that I feel would work.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Your awareness color reminded me. Many of my colleagues have been wearing purple for Domestic Violence Awareness month. Lots going on! :-)
