In Fall of 2015 I discovered that the SEWING COMMUNITY had spilled on over into the Periscope realm - you know I had to check it out - and thus became an avid follower of many sewers who scope. I'm such a fantastic follower, and a great background person. Being the "ever learner" that I am, I'm not afraid to ask questions during YOUR scope to constantly fill my learning tank; but scope myself - only on rare occasions! After gleaning so much information from FaceBook's Sew Much Talent GR, I thought it was high time that I gave back in some way. So I volunteered to assist the group in any small way that I could.
I was shocked, after volunteering, when Alethia asked me to moderate the Stash Smashing Week 4 Outer Wear segment during January's Challenge. So after opening my big mouth to volunteer I had to see my commitment through!
Not that I know nearly enough, but I do know a little bit, and it was time to share. The third segment targeted the infra-structure of Tailored Jackets and Coats (watch here, if you dare):
- Interfacing types and weights
- Shoulder Shields
- Back Shields
- Under Collars
- Pad Stitching
- Tailoring Supplies and Resources
THE WINNER OF THE PATTERN FROM THE SECOND SCOPE IS:
Rebecca
Rebecca please message me or email me your mailing address and I'll get the pattern right out to you!
Tonight's pattern give-a-way: Vogue 9133
If you don't have this pattern in your stash, please leave a comment below to enter tonight's drawing. I'll announce the winner here on Sunday...
I'm VERY new to sewing for my self my first make was an inline semi fired jacket. Came out great so now I'm working on a more fitted jacket & want to put a lining in although it doesn't call for one. I like this vogue pattern looks like it would be a quick make. I enjoy your posts & am picking up a lot of useful information thanks for sharing you knowledge. I'll definitely check out your scopes Rebecca G

DeleteUh oh, the perils of volunteering! Still, with your teaching experience, I think you would be well suited (pardon the pun) to this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. You are right,I can outline a lesson plan in no time flat with no problem; it's the scoping publicly that has meshaking in my boots.

DeleteFaye, I tried to watch the 'scope through the link above. It says I've been blocked :(
ReplyDeleteNo wonder I didn't get notification of your broadcast.
I just went into Periscope to check and you were blocked. I am so sorry I DON'T KNOW HOW IN THE WORLD THAT HAPPENED! But are unblocked now. Thank you for even wanting to watch!!!
DeleteLots of great info there Miss Faye! Enjoy your scopes so much!

ReplyDeleteMs. Faye! I watched your periscope...the first one...I think! The teacher! Southern accent! I loved, loved, loved it. You didn't respond to each and every comment of your viewers you kept moving through the content. Loved that about it!!! Seriously. It's probably the best one Ive seen yet! I'll finish watching! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteTerri you flatter me so! Southern - yes through and through. About responding to the comments - I cannot multi task when scoping so I just have to let the comments go and then go back and answer by messaging people. I felt the first night was fair, the second night a bust, and the third night I was much more relaxed. Thank you so much for watching. It means a lot to me!
